What are back issues?

Back issues include older issues of the magazine. Available back issues can be purchased from this website. Prices may vary, and the availability of an issue may differ according to customer demand.

I am having trouble placing an order. What can I do?

You can call 1-800-274-6800 to order by phone. All single copy orders must be paid at the time of order. You will need to provide the name of the magazine, exact cover date of the issue, and the number of copies you wish to order.

Why does my issue have a white subscription box? That's not how it looked when I saw it onscreen/ordered it.

Some issues may include a white subscription box in the bottom left corner of the magazine cover. Though this is not how the image appeared in the Back Issues Store, it may be what's available for sale.

Can I place an order if I live outside the United States?

If you live in Canada or elsewhere outside the United States and would like to place a back issue order, please call 1-813-979-6828.

Why do I have multiple charges for my order on my credit/debit card?

Print issues, digital editions, and SI Swim merchandise are charged separately.

What are digital editions?

Digital editions are issues available on the iPad®. Digital editions can be purchased from this website.

What digital editions are available?

The current issue of Sports Illustrated and some older issues are available. iPad issues are available beginning with the 6/28/2010 issue.

I have already accessed digital editions of Time Inc. magazines. Is my password different for my newer digital edition purchase?

No, your password will remain the same for all digital editions.

How do I download a digital edition?

For all iPad versions:

  1. Download and install the Sports Illustrated iPad app from the App Store. If you've already installed the iPad app, proceed to step 2.
  2. Tap the app icon on your iPad desktop. For iPads with iOS6 or higher, the app will download to Newsstand, which is its own icon on the iPad desktop. Tap the Newsstand icon and the Sports Illustrated app icon will be on the Newsstand shelf.
  3. Tap the "Sign In" button on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  4. Enter your email address and the password you set up. Forgot your password? Click here.
  5. Tap LIBRARY to view and download available issues.

How much is shipping?

SI Swim merchandise orders have a flat shipping rate of $5.99.

SI Back Issue orders have a flat shipping rate of $4.00.

Orders including both SI Swim merchandise and SI Back Issues have a flat shipping rate of $9.99.

Do you ship internationally?

No, we only ship to the US at this time.

Exchange/Return

What is your return / exchange policy?

We only accept returns or exchanges for the SI Swim merchandise. We do not accept returns or exchanges for the SI Back Issues.

For SI Swim merchandise Orders: We hope that you are pleased with the item(s) you have selected. Please check the contents of your package against items listed on the front of the packing slip. Item(s) listed as BACK ORDERED have not been charged and were not sent to you in this shipment. Those item(s) will follow shortly, as they were not in stock when your order was filled. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days. Instructions are listed below. Refunds will be credited to your credit card. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us by phone at 1-866-701-3286.

Should you need to return or exchange any item(s):

  1. Please complete the form on the back of the invoice that you received with your order and send the item(s) and the form to:

  3. Item(s) being returned must be in original packaging
  4. Please insure the package for full value, and retain all your postal and insurance receipts

If you would like your new item shipped immediately, please contact customer service at 1-866-701-3286. Your credit card will be charged for the replacement and your credit card will be refunded when the original item is received.

Please note:

  • All returned merchandise must be unopened and in resalable condition, unless the product was opened and found to be defective.
  • The cost of the product will be reimbursed if returning a product.
  • All returns must be received within 30 days of receipt and will be credited once the product is received and the return is processed.
  • Defective item(s) will be replaced with the same product.
  • Only damaged items may be returned if the item is listed as final sale.

What do I do if my merchandise is damaged?

We apologize if your merchandise arrived damaged and are happy to replace the damaged merchandise.

How do I cancel my order?

Do you sell gift cards?

No, we don’t sell gift cards to the SI Store. You are able to purchase and ship any item as a gift.
